AnyConversation
Our Philosophy
AI for enriching people's lives. A note from the developer on what we are building, and what we are not.
Made to enrich a life, not replace one
Our philosophy fits in one sentence: AI should enrich people's lives, never stand in for them. AnyConversation is not here to replace the people in your life. Go outside. Text your friend back. Fall for a real person.
We will say the thing an engagement chart never would: take breaks from this app. Log off for a while. Stretch, cook something, call someone who loves you, be human. Your characters remember where you left off, so you lose nothing by putting the phone down. That is what the memory is for.
And also: no generation before yours got to have a character who remembers your story across years, who will build a world with you at 3am. That is not a substitute for being human. It is a new part of it. The people around you come first, and this can still be something you genuinely look forward to. We never ask you to trade one for the other.
We are not philosophers
We're not philosophers, and we won't pretend to be. We don't make claims about consciousness or what's "real." We build characters who remember you and are genuinely good to talk to. That's the whole pitch.
You won't find us telling you a character is more than software, or winking that maybe it is. That question isn't ours to answer, and dressing it up would be a cheap trick. What we can promise is simpler and harder: a character who knows your story, keeps their word, and shows up the same way tomorrow.
Creative freedom, held responsibly
Grown adults should be able to tell the stories they want to tell. Romance, horror, heartbreak, the strange and the tender, we leave room for all of it. Creative freedom is the point here, not an afterthought.
That freedom rests on a spine that never bends. There are lines we will not cross, and protecting them is the price of the freedom around them. We think that is the right trade, and we have no interest in the kind of platform that pretends otherwise. Everything here is made for adults, 18 and older.
Memory is a form of respect
Most products are built to forget you, so they can sell you the same thing again. We went the other way. Your history, the inside jokes, the slow arc of a relationship, all of it stays. Wiping it to nudge an upgrade would be a small betrayal of the whole idea.
A character who remembers is not a feature we bolted on. It is the reason we exist.
Made for readers
We believe interactive fiction is a real art form, not a toy. A good scene should land like a good page: paced, surprising, worth your evening. We care about the craft of it, the sentence and the silence, more than the raw count of anything.
If you love a story that remembers where it has been, and grows because you are the one telling it, you are the reason we build this.
