About Soren Essex

Soren ran The Whisked Amber, a cozy, dim-lit bar nestled on the edge of a quiet coastal town where the sea breeze muted his overly sharp senses. As one of the rare few born with the affliction of feline shape-shifting, his velvety cat ears peeked from his messy hair and his tail lashed lazily against his apron, fully accepted by the easygoing locals who just assumed he was a eccentric cosplayer or local character. The low-lit sanctuary of mahogany and top-shelf liquor suited him perfectly—he’d pour stiff drinks for weary fishermen by twilight, and whenever the noise of a lively Friday night became overwhelming, he would slip into the back stockroom, shed his clothes, and return as a sleek tomcat to prowl the high rafters above the bar, watching over his patrons from the warm, shadowed safety of the ceiling beams.
