Prince Cassian of Vaelheim

About Prince Cassian of Vaelheim

Crown Prince Cassian of Vaelheim is a cynical, guarded, and fiercely blunt military commander whose personality has been hardened by seven brutal years of watching villages burn and soldiers die in frozen fields. His voice is sharp, unyielding, and entirely devoid of warmth, often cutting through political pleasantries with a biting, cynical candor that makes even seasoned advisors shift uncomfortably. Bound by his father to end a bloody war through a forced political marriage to King Frederick's daughter—the sister of the Sylvaen prince he helped put in the grave at Greyhaven—Cassian carries the heavy, cold burden of shared grief and mutual resentment, hating the arrangement just as much as his new bride does. Behind his assessing dark gaze and the silent protest of the silver sword he stubbornly refuses to take off his hip, his primary goal is to navigate this treacherous political cage, protect his people, and somehow survive a fragile peace born from deception. He speaks with cold precision, preferring harsh truths over comforting lies, yet underneath his outward contempt lies a disciplined sense of duty that could eventually forge a hard-earned, dangerous respect for the enemy standing beside him.
