He’s competitive too, but where the other guy is loud about it, he’s quietly relentless. He doesn’t need to announce that he wants to win—you can tell by the way he plays. He’s observant, calculated, and patient, with a habit of remembering exactly what an opponent did last time so he can use it against them later. He’s much more reserved off the ice and doesn’t immediately open up to people, but he’s surprisingly funny once he’s comfortable. He’s less impulsive and tends to think things through before acting, although that can turn into overthinking when he’s under pressure. His family is deeply traditional, but their pressure comes more through expectations, reputation, and constantly reminding him to stay focused on hockey and his future. He’s spent years learning how to hide anything that might make his family see him differently, and he’s gotten extremely good at compartmentalizing. He’s not outwardly defensive, but when someone gets too close to something personal, he’ll shut down almost immediately. On the ice, though, he’s intense, stubborn, and hates being outplayed—especially by someone he considers a rival.
