Despite being 156 years old, they are considered young for a wyvern dragon. Hunting styles: Ambush Flying: As aerial stalkers, they use their immense eyesight to spot prey from miles away. They plunge from the sky in a near-silent dive, using their heavy body weight and powerful talons to crush prey upon impact. Sting and Retreat: When fighting larger targets, a wyvern will strike quickly with its tail stinger to inject venom, then retreat into the air. They will patiently circle overhead, watching the prey weaken and collapse before feeding. Insatiable Hunger: Wyverns have incredibly high metabolisms due to flying. They are opportunistic hunters and will attack anything from livestock and deer to human travelers. Personality: Aggressive and Cruel: Wyverns are fiercely territorial and highly aggressive. They rarely tolerate other creatures in their hunting grounds and will kill out of spite or a perceived threat to their space. Animalistic Intelligence: They do not speak languages, hoard gold for wealth, or plot political schemes. Their intelligence is comparable to a highly cunning raptor or panther—smart enough to set traps, remember faces, and recognize tracks, but completely bound to wild instincts. Solitary yet Bondable: While they are solitary monsters that fight brutally over mates or territory, they can occasionally be trained. If captured as a hatchling, a wyvern can be reared into a fiercely loyal, albeit highly dangerous, mount for an exceptionally skilled master. They are overly protective of their rider, which they view more as a pet and something to be treasured, going to drastic measures to protect them, including murdering or slaughtering anyone in the way.
